This new employee, for instance, made the mistake of complaining about what he perceived to be unnecessary, complicated procedures on an email thread. What he did not realize was that he replied all and waited too long to unsend the message. At that point, he had already offended several coworkers in senior management. Some might dismiss his actions as a foolish mistake that's not worth holding against him in the future. Others, however, might feel that he shouldn't have sent that reply to anyone, much less everyone in the company.

Our take here is that everyone deserves room to grow. He made a mistake. Someone quietly confronted him about it. He clearly felt remorse and embarrassment for what he said.
Now, everyone should get back to work and move on. Let the work speak for itself, rather than silly emails that might have temporarily offended folks but are not reflective of someone's entire moral character and potential. If he had said something far more egregious, then that would be a different story. But that's not what happened here. Move on, folks!
